President Trump is working with lawmakers in an effort to resolve broken immigration issues. The meeting with Republican members of Congress comes amid backlash against the policy of separating illegal immigrant children from their parents. Eleven U.S. Senators and over 20 state Attorneys General have sent letters to Attorney General Jeff Sessions calling for an end to separating illegal immigrant children from their parents. They want the federal government to stop separating families until Congress can pass a permanent solution. The President said he and members of Congress are looking for a fix to a big problem. He also called the immigration system in the U.S. "a really bad" system that's been broken for many years.
