Man Wrongfully Convicted Released From Prison

(Wilmington, DE)  --  A Delaware man wrongfully imprisoned decades ago is finally free.  Elmer Daniels was released from prison yesterday after spending nearly 40 years behind bars.  He was convicted in 1980 of raping a 15-year-old girl in Wilmington after an FBI agent testified at the trial.  ABC 6 reports that hair evidence linked the then 18-year-old to the assault.  Earlier this year, officials concluded that the agent's testimony about hair evidence in the case was invalid.  Daniel's release came one day after his 57th birthday.
