Marijuana Decriminalization Bill

(Dover, DE) -- A bill that would decriminalize marijuana possession for minors is headed to the state House. Members of the Senate passed the measure on Thursday in a 13-to-6 vote. The legislation makes possession of an ounce or less of pot a civil violation for a first offense in all cases. Currently, it's a civil violation for anyone over 21 but a criminal misdemeanor for those under 18. The bill will now head to the House for consideration.
