One of professional wrestling's top real life and on screen couples will soon be first-time parents.

Former NXT Women's Tag-Team Champion Candice LeRae announced she and husband, former NXT Champion and 'The Way' stablemate Johnny Gargano, were expecting their first child Thursday (August 12) morning.

LeRae shared a photo of herself and Gargano holding their dog and the sonograms on her verified Instagram account with the caption "Surprise."

Gargano also shared a tweet revealing the couple's big news.

"The secret's out! Our team is getting a little bigger..The best is on the way! 👶♥️ @CandiceLeRae," Gargano tweeted.

The tweet included one photo of the couple holding their dog and sonogram and another with the sonograms, an announcement board stating, "Baby Wrestling coming February 2022" -- a nod to their 'Johnny Wrestling' and 'Candice Wrestling' nicknames -- and their wrestling boots alongside a pair of baby slippers resembling wrestling boots.

Gargano and LeRae began dating when both were independent wrestlers and married in September 2016.

Gargano signed with WWE's NXT brand in 2015, initially debuting as part of a tag-team with former 'DIY' partner and later rival Tommaso Ciampa.

LeRae initially appeared on NXT in 2017, but officially signed with WWE in 2018, after gaining a legacy as one of the top female competitors on the independent circuit, participating in numerous inter-gender matches.

The couple is currently part of the faction, 'The Way,' alongside Austin Theory and Indi Hartwell.

Gargano is the first ever NXT Triple Crown winner, having previously held the NXT Championship, NXT Tag Team Championship and a the NXT North American Championship a record three times.

LeRae is a former NXT Women's Tag Team champion alongside Hartwell, having held the title for 63 days, the longest reign since its inception in March 2021.
