Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller has been suspended four games without pay due to a violation of the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported on Tuesday (October 1).
"Von Miller of the Buffalo Bills is suspended four games without pay for violating the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy, it was announced today. Miller will be eligible for reinstatement on October 28 following the Bills’ Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks," Pelissero wrote on his X account.
Miller, 35, will be forced to miss the Bills' upcoming games against the Houston Texans, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks before being eligible to return for the November 3 game against the Miami Dolphins.
Pelissero later confirmed that the suspension stemmed from allegations of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend, which led to his arrest last year. Miller was reportedly accused of shoving, pulling the hair and putting his hands around the neck of his girlfriend, according to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by NBC 5 Dallas Fort Worth.
The woman later sent a text message to WFAA downplaying the allegations, claiming she and Miller were "fine" and described the incident as "a verbal disagreement" and "a huge misunderstanding." Miller is a three-time first-team All-Pro, four-time second-team All-Pro, eight-time Pro Bowler and a member of the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.
