A nor'easter is set to impact the Atlantic Seaboard, bringing heavy rains, strong winds, and significant coastal flooding. The storm is expected to affect the coastal Carolinas on Saturday (October 11) and spread its impacts into the Northeast by Sunday (October 12). Forecasters warn that the storm could lead to major coastal flooding, particularly in New Jersey, where evacuations might be necessary.

The National Weather Service has issued high wind and coastal flood watches for areas along the Jersey Shore, with winds potentially gusting up to 60 mph. Rainfall could range from 1 to 5 inches, with the heaviest precipitation expected Sunday afternoon and evening. The storm may also intensify into a subtropical system, according to AccuWeather.

In the tristate area, including Long Island and eastern New York City, winds could reach up to 60 mph, and coastal flooding is likely, with major flooding possible during high tides on Sunday. The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood watch for Connecticut's shoreline, with rainfall expected to be 1 to 2 inches.

The storm's track and intensity remain uncertain, but significant impacts are anticipated along the mid-Atlantic coast, especially in New Jersey and Delaware. Residents are advised to prepare for potential evacuations and to stay informed about the latest forecasts. The storm is expected to move offshore by Tuesday, with conditions improving gradually.
