As reported at the WSJ, Cracker Barrel has let go the marketing firm, Prophet. The company who came up with the ill-fated idea to redesign the Cracker Barrel logo and rebrand the company. It was only a matter of time and one has to wonders why it didn’t happen sooner. Due to pushback from Cracker Barrel customers, the company has done a complete 180 and gone back to the old sign logo design and redid the inside of their restaurants. The markets firm Prophet was given the axe, why not the CEO as well who approved this disaster. Doesn't Cracker Barrel know you should never listen to false Prophets.

Cracker Barrel cut ties with the marketing firm behind the chain’s troubled rebranding campaign, including its new logo and redesigned restaurants.
The family-dining chain said Thursday that it ended its contract with Prophet, a global marketing firm Cracker Barrel hired last year as part of a three-year strategic plan to update its brand.
Prophet declined to comment. Cracker Barrel declined to comment further.
Prophet this year created a new, streamlined Cracker Barrel logo, featuring just the chain’s name. It replaced the company’s longtime marker featuring a man in overalls leaning against a barrel.
